2013-2014 Season

Fourteen-year old cellist Zlatomir Fung studies with Emmanuel Feldman at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School and is the co-principal cellist of the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. Zlatomir is the silver medal winner of the cello division of the 2012 7th International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians in Montreux-Vevey Switzerland, and the winner of the NEC Prep School Concerto Competition, the Walden Chamber Players, New England Philharmonic, and Music Worcester Competitions. He has soloed with Symphony Pro Musica, the New England Philharmonic, the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, the Brockton Symphony, the Concord Orchestra, the Boston Civic Orchestra, the Lowell Philharmonic, and the Lausanne Sinfonietta.

Zlatomir has performed at venues such as Jordan Hall, the Tsai Performance Center, and Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. Zlatomir is an avid chamber music player and he has performed with the Walden Chamber Players and the Arneis Quartet. Zlatomir has studied at the Heifetz International Music Institute, the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Luzerne Music Center, and Greenwood Music Camp. In his spare time, Zlatomir plays chess competitively and composes.
