Beth Welty has served as Concertmaster of the Nashua Chamber Orchestra since 2005. She also holds the Assistant Principal second violin chair in the Springfield (MA) Symphony Orchestra. Ms.Welty has been a performer in New England for over twenty years with such groups as the Handel Haydn Society, the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, The Rhode Island Philharmonic, the Portland Symphony Orchestra, the Cantata Singers, the Boston Chamber Orchestra, and the New Hampshire Symphony Orchestra. She is the concertmaster of the newly formed Waltham Symphony as well as the concertmaster of the New England Orchestra, based in Lowell, MA. She has toured Spain twice as the concertmaster of the Massachusetts Symphony and was a guest performer with the London Chamber Players during their South African tour in 2001. She has also performed concerts in Italy.
As a chamber musician, Beth has performed in festivals and venues in Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, and Cleveland, Ohio. In Boston, she has played in chamber concerts throughout the city, including appearances at the Gardener Museum, Faneuil Hall, and Jordan Hall. She is a founding member of the chamber group Kaleidoscope. In 1991, she made her Lincoln Center debut with the Boston Quartet.
