Alessandra Mariano


2017-2018 Season

Alessandra Mariano is 14 years old and an 8th-grader at the Academy for Science and Design in Nashua, NH. She has been studying piano with Mila Filatova for 7 years. She received commendations from New Hampshire State Senator Lou D. Allesandro and former Governor Lynch recognizing her talent and achievement.

Alessandra has participated and awarded first prize in several and local and international piano competitions such as: Crescendo International Competition, Plymouth State University Contemporary Piano Festival, Westfield State University Young Artist Piano Competition, Manchester Music School Performance Competition, and the New Hampshire Granite State Competition.She recently performed in a winner’s recital at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

When she was 10 years old, she performed the entire Bach Concerto in F minor with Nashua Chamber Orchestra.  She also performed as a soloist with Parlarte Symphony Orchestra Music Fest in Perugia, Italy. Recently, she performed with the New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 2013, Alessandra takes pride in initiating a benefit concert along with the American Red Cross to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan. She also performs at The Huntington, a retirement community in Nashua, NH. She occasionally performs at the Mount Washington Hotel since 2011.

Alessandra also plays piano accompaniment for violin. Besides music, she participates in the FIRST Lego League & American Regions Mathematics League.She loves skiing and running cross country competitively. She also enjoys hiking New Hampshire's 4000-footer mountains with her family and friends.
