Nicholas Brown

Nicholas Brown is a New England-based clarinetist and arts leader whose multifaceted career explores classical music from every angle. Starting clarinet at age twelve, he now performs with the Boston Festival Orchestra, Boston Lyric Opera Orchestra, New Bedford Symphony, and Portland Symphony. His solo and featured appearances include the Boston Pops, Concord Orchestra, New Bedford Symphony, Library of Congress, and Newport Music Festival. 

As Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Boston Festival Orchestra, Nicholas brings together his artistic and professional experiences to expand opportunities for musicians, engage new audiences, and strengthen communities through music. He is also an active guest lecturer, clinician, and mentor, sharing his experience in performance, entrepreneurship, and career development with students and emerging professionals across the country. 

Originally from Portland, Maine, Nicholas holds degrees from Boston University and the New England Conservatory.
