2025-2026 Season

Antonio Casarano is a 16-year old American cellist who has attracted people around the world through his social media presence. He currently studies with Andrew Mark and is the principal cellist of BYSO’s top orchestra BYS in their production of Schubert 9. This is Antonio’s 4th year playing cello, and also is self-taught on violin and viola.

This performance of Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C major is Antonio’s orchestra debut. He is opening up his orchestral presence and plans to audition for the Sphinx Competition in the fall. He has studied in masterclasses with Apple Hill String Quartet cellist Jacob Mackay, and also has played for the renowned cellist Joshua Roman.

Antonio, currently a sophomore at Burlington High School in Massachusetts, is quite passionate about music as a whole. He frequently accompanies his school’s choir on various instruments, and also plays tennis on his school’s team. He volunteers for his school’s science center, where animals from the wild deemed incapable of surviving in the wild are cared for there, either until they are capable of surviving out in the wild, or for the rest of their lives.
