Stephen Feigenbaum is a 20-year-old composer from Winchester, MA who draws on aspects of popular music, from the grittiest to the most lyrical, to create works that make complexity accessible. Recently, Stephen was the winner of national composition competitions sponsored by the New York Art Ensemble, the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble, and the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, and international competitions sponsored by the Cambridge Chamber Singers and the Vancouver Chamber choir.

Other past awards have come from ASCAP and youngARTS. His compositions have been performed by groups including the Cincinnati Pops, the Chamber Orchestra of Boston, and the Yale Camerata, in venues such as the Green Room in San Francisco, Jordan Hall and the Hatch Shell in Boston, Lincoln Center in New York, and in cities from Vancouver to Berlin to Prague. Stephen is a junior at Yale and has studied with composers including Kathryn Alexander, Martin Bresnick, Michael Gandolfi, and Samuel Adler.
